Celebrating the bicentennial

Events

2023 marks the 200th anniversary  of published debut of the masterpiece of juvenile fiction - A Visit from St. Nicholas - also known as Twas The Night Before Christmas. 

  • Events are being planned around the country including public gatherings, readings, exhibits, presentations, and receptions to honor the poem. 
  • May 2023 Benjamin Franklin Book Awards - San Diego, CA. Twas The Night -The Art and History of the Classic Christmas Poem: Winner Silvery in History. 
  • May 31, release of special commemorative edition by Grafton and Scratch Publishers. 
  • May 31, release of new board book edition of the poem for babies and toddlers, published  by Grafton and Scratch Publishers. 


  • June 24, Constable Hall, Constableville, NY, Twas The Night Before Christmas vintage collection exhibit opens. 
  • June 25,  Chicago, IL,  American Library Association Convention. 
  • July 22 Santa Claus, Indiana presentation at the Santa Claus Museum. 
  • July 24, The Inn at Christmas Place, Pigeon Forge. KT, book signing.
